Fall Pictures and Cole's First....

....Big Boy Field Trip!!!!

Cole went to Louisburg Cider Mill and they took a big boy bus! :-D

Here are some pictures that were taken from the field trip. Some Cole has a smile-ish and others he has his "Don't bother me" look. Either way...he could not stop talking about the field trip and how they rode a bus, there was hay, and they went on a hayride, and ate donuts!

Good Bye Tonsils!

Monday September 21st Cole had a tonsillectomy and an adenoidectomy. He did well, but the experience at Overland Park Surgery Center was not great. First, before they put him out they took him away from us crying. Then...once he was done and in recovery he was by himself in an open area because it was just a surgery center it was just "rooms" closed off by shower curtain looking things. He woke up, didn't have his blanket, toys, or his Mommy or Daddy. He was very upset. After an hour we were finally able to leave after he drank some water and they gave him his first dose of Hydrocodone. He was pretty out of it Monday and kind of watched TV once we got home. We had to give him the hydrocodone every 4 hours.

Tuesday, Daddy stayed home with Cole. He watched Cars, but overall was pretty lethargic. The only thing he will drink is a little bit of water, milk, and he will eat fruit snacks.

Wednesday and Thursday Cole stayed home with Mommy. Wednesday he was still pretty lethargic in the morning and watched Cars and Cars 2. Then...apparently he started feeling better. He did not want to take a nap and he was singing in bed.We picked up Cayden and Cole actually started playing with Cayden once we were home. He still whispers once in a while, but not as much.

Thursday he woke up at 9:00 a.m. in some pain (we had not given him hydrocodone since 5:30p the night before), so hydrocodone was a must because he was pretty upset. After the meds kicked in, we went to Quick Trip for a donut treat. At first he only ate a few bites...but while we were talking to GG on FaceTime he decided to eat more. He has about 3/4th's of his donut! YAY! He even went upstairs to get his Mickey from his bed to show GG. He is definitely much better, although still not eating a whole lot other than the donut and fruit snacks.

Pictures below of our lil' patient!

On our way home...

June 17th-July 9th

Baseball, baseball, and more baseball.
When Cayden isn't playing, we are at an MLB ball game. Or...playing baseball outside or inside baseball.

When we are not ballin', we are swimming'! Summer means pool...usually. Although the weather has not cooperated very much, we have still had time to go to the pool here and there. Cayden and Cole took swim lessons and they both did awesome! Cole, of course thinks he is a professional swimmer now.

For the 4th of July we again went to St. Louis to watch the Cardinals!

Daddy has been traveling a lot...and we miss him lots. But that doesn't mean we can't have fun...getting haircuts, eating flavored shaved ice, and of course...Mac n'cheese from Panera!
Oh yah...and not to mention a tornado in our backyard. That was fun! ;-)

Playing catcher...#2, Cayden Wessel!

Cole is ready to go off the diving board!

Eating a snack from his swim teacher! :-) Yummm....rice krispy treats are yummy!

Cayden is going down the slide. He is the one closest to the bottom on the right. Cole went down this same slide at least 6 times too!

Both boys passed their levels! Yay! :-D

Cole is ready to swim at our neighborhood pool.

Mommy, take a picture of me touching the bottom of the pool!

What is that? Oh hmm...a tornado!

Hiding in the bathroom from the tornado...

This has got to be the closest I have ever come to see a tornado. Luckily there was no damage.
