My first pie!

So, as a kindergarten team we decided to make this Friday pie day for Friday treats. I attempted to make my mother-in-law's Apple Pie. After being on the phone with her most of the time as I was making it, it was finally done.

I set the pie out in our teachers lounge at 8:00 a.m. and by 9:45 there were only 2 pieces left and by 12:30 it was gone. If you can imagine vultures in a teachers lounge, that's kind of what it looks like on a Friday in our teachers lounge with food. The Friday morning routine: plate, food, eat…get kiddos from the gym. (and repeat during your specials time or recess time)

Dough is rolled out and placed on the pan...

Pinching the sides to close the pie...

The pie is out of the oven...

Added the frosting…Ready to eat! 

Did I mention it did make the house smell really good! 

Will it win awards? Probably not…but I made my first pie!
