Preschool Gradulation

Yes, you read that right…Cayden insisted that it was Gradulation NOT Graduation!

First it was time to eat…Hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, and chips were provided by JCPRD and we brought sides and desserts. There was a LOT of food!

Then it was time for songs, The Very Hungry Caterpillar with art by the kiddos that each had a chance to show their part of the story, Awards, and Diplomas…and of course the Bouncy House!

I had to add the pictures and videos by themselves too, so that if you need to you can click on them to see them bigger! :-)

TBall game #2! Mets vs. Giants

Cayden did awesome when he wasn't playing in the dirt, sprinkling the dirt on his shirt, or throwing the dirt so that he could see dirt clouds…Cayden's response: "It's just so smooshy!"

After his Tball game it was time to play at the ABC park AKA: Celebration Park.

It was Mets vs. Giants…2 of my students were on the opposing team, so that was fun to watch them play too!

Cole has a great view!

Nice hat dude!

You wouldn't have to rub your eyes if you stopped playing in the dirt!

Yup! There he is…playing in the dirt...

Game over…High 5 time!

On our way to the ABC park…just a bit down from where Cayden played Tball.

Goofy boys, park time, and First Tball game!

The boys hanging out after daycare…they like to just relax on the couch together.

Silly Cole!

Cayden's tball practice means time to play at the park.

Cayden is so proud of himself…he has been writing words and sentences and he wrote all of his colors himself.

More park time...

Cole is busy sitting in my chair drinking his water!

Go Nee-nee (aka: Cayden)!

And it's a wrap!

Back Update...

As most of you who read this blog know, I have a bulging disc in my lower right back.

Monday night I was sitting with Cole and went to get up and something happened with my back and I was in immense pain. I could barely walk and couldn't sleep all night due to the pain being so bad.

Tuesday I took the day off of work and luckily Chad had the day off with Cole since daycare was closed…I got a potent anti-inflammatory injection (this did nothing) and a script for Hydrocodone and another anti-inflammatory- Flexeril. This at least allowed me to sleep with not as much pain.

Wednesday it was epidural time! WHOA! This was the mother of all epidurals…I had to have them in 3 spots/injections, where as before I only had 1 spot. It hurt like no other and bruised horribly! I couldn't wait when it was over to just drive home and relax until I had to pick up the boys. Oh, did I mention Chad is out of town? Fun times here.

Just wait…it gets better!

I am so lucky to have such great friends! Once I got to the recovery room, they had me get dressed so I could be discharged. Well…that did not go as planned. My leg was numb and I could not stand…not too mention I had not had anything to eat all day and was a bit woozy from the steroid, hydrocodone, and flexiril. What was I going to do with Chad out of town and no family here? Call my superhero friend Jamie! But…Jamie the superhero has 4 kids herself…so first it was a doctors appointment for Landon down the street. (thank goodness) So…I only had to wait about an hour. Where did they put me? In a corner in my wheelchair. :-\ At around 11:15 the numbness had worn off. How did I know? The back pain was back. I tried to tell the nurse, but she told me I could not drive, but I could take a cab if I couldn't get anyone to pick me up. I was in tears…at this point my pain is back, I can't go home, and I am sitting in a corner.

And…cue the superhero music!

My back is in pain, but I can tell it is easing up a bit…Oh wait…that could be the hydrocodone and flexuril kicking in. Gosh I hope this post makes sense. Oh well, if it doesn't you can get a laugh out of me on drugs.

I am hoping for a good outcome from this epidural and hoping and praying I will not need surgery.

Good night from my house to yours…When life gives you lemons…call you friends to get you a nice lemonade from Chick-fil-a and pay for it! ;-)
